It's all over the place. I doubt it would hurt DVD sales (even though the quality of the leaked episode is good, it's clearly in need of a cleanup). Bit daft of the BBC to hold off for so long with this episode though, they should have realised this would happen if they waited too long.
Though I'm very surprised it found it's way out of the BBC, I wonder where the leak came from.
I simply don't understand what all of the rush is about. The schedule is overly full for releases this year (including a bunch of completed by animation stuff) and this will most likely come out early next year. It is not like they have been sitting on this for five years while not bringing out any dvds whatsoever.
BBC America have accidentally sent out pre orders of the series 7 part 2 box set early. Expect to see the name of the doctor leaked online soon (like UM)
Well, The Visitation (Special Edition) is already available in the UK and is being released tomorrow in the US, so I am taking it off of the list. Also, it seems as if the BBC finally figured out that a gap in July was a bad thing. According to the Official Doctor Who Releases Website (http://releases.doctorwhonews.net/index.php), The Doctors Revisited has been pushed back to the 16th of July. Thus, I have updated the date for that below.
Dalek Movies (Blu-Ray): UK: May 27th
Inferno (SE): UK: May 27th, US: June 11th
The Mind of Evil: UK: June 3rd, US: June 11th
Regeneration: UK: June 24th
Doctors Revisited 1-4: US: July 16th
Spearhead From Space (Blu-Ray): UK: July 15th, US: August 13th (?)
The Green Death (SE): UK: August 5th, US: August 13th (?)
The Ice Warriors: UK: August 26th, US: September 10th (?)
Scream of the Shalka: UK: September 16th, US: October 8th (?)
Terror of the Zygons: UK: September 30th, US: October 8th (?)
The Moonbase: UK: October 21st, US: November 12 (?)
The Tenth Planet: UK: November 18th, US: December 10th (?)
and
The Underwater Menace: Episode 2
With possible future Special Editions:
The Dalek Invasion of Earth
The Web Planet
The Mind Robber
Genesis of the Daleks
Pyramids of Mars
The Hand of Fear
Horror of Fang Rock
City of Death
The Leisure Hive
Earthshock
The Mark of the Rani
The Two Doctors
Revelation of the Daleks
Ghost Light
The Curse of Fenric
And with possible future completed by animation releases:
The Underwater Menace
The Crusade
Should I be listing all of these Monster Collections on the list above? Are they classic DVDs?

No, but the DVDs they have been bringing out are all repeats having previously been released on VHS. This is "brand new", hence the rush. When Dalek Masterplan 2 was found it was released within a few months. I do have some sympathy for the delay though in that I would rather they bring out the complete story with animation for the missing episodes than just release this episode as an extra on another DVD.

Oh, I see. I only ever owned three serials on VHS. Hence, the vast majority of them are "new" to me.
Was "The Reign of Terror" released on VHS sans the missing episodes? The same question goes for "The Ice Warriors", "Invasion", etc.. If not, then they have been bringing out some new stuff.

Yes all three were released on VHS. "Reign" was supposed to have been released in the early 1990s, when John Nathan Turner was involved with the video releases. He recorded a link with Carole Anne Ford reading a small piece to camera to fill in for missing episodes 4 and 5. Then there was a change in policy regarding releasing incomplete serials (some ignorant fans complained that they only wanted complete stories) and "Reign" was cancelled. It was finally released as one of the last (the very last?) VHSs at the end of 2004 and included the Carole Anne Ford link recorded a decade previously. This was not included on the recent DVD release due to lack of space. "Ice Warriors" included a short reconstruction of Episodes 2 and 3, which are supposed to be extras on the forthcoming DVD and "The Invasion" (which was released in 1993 before the change in policy on incomplete stories) included pieces to camera by Nicholas Courtney to fill in for missing episodes 1 and 4 - these ARE included as extras on the DVD.

Yep both Reign of Terror and Ice Warriors had VHS releases in the UK. They had William Russell as Ian linking the missing Reign episodes.

No, Carole Anne Ford. William Russell did The Crusade (another incomplete story released on VHS, but this was because one of the missing episodes was found and we didn't have to wait 3 years for the release!!)

As an interesting note to go with that, here is all that we are lacking/would have to be animated even if no more missing episodes are ever found (not counting those which are already announced as being released this year):
Marco Polo: 7 Episodes
The Crusade: 2 Episodes
Galaxy 4: 3 Episodes
Mission to the Unknown: 1 Episode
The Myth Makers: 4 Episodes
The Dalek's Master Plan: 9 Episodes
The Massacre of Saint Bartholomew's Eve: 4 Episodes
The Celestial Toymaker: 3 Episodes
The Savages: 4 Episodes
The Smugglers: 4 Episodes
The Power of the Daleks: 6 Episodes
The Highlanders: 4 Episodes
The Underwater Menace: 2 Episodes
The Marca Terror: 4 Episodes
The Faceless Ones: 4 Episodes
The Evil of the Daleks: 6 Episodes
The Abominable Snowmen: 5 Episodes
The Enemy of the World: 5 Episodes
The Web of Fear: 5 Episodes
Fury From the Deep: 6 Episodes
The Wheel in Space: 4 Episodes
and
The Space Pirates: 5 Episodes
for a total of apx. 98 Episodes. This can be done.
I assume you are referring to the rumour that 44 lost episodes have somehow been found. All I can say is don't get your hopes up!
I am not going to get my hopes up that amount has been found, but you do get the feeling from certain sources that they are sitting on information waiting to announce something.
Even 6 or 7 episodes found would be a result in my eyes.
Rarely do we find batch of episodes anymore. It is normally like 1 episode every 3-4 years now.

Goosebumps. And the Zygons! Gods please don't let them reimagine the Zygons.
Still recovering from what RTD did to the Cybermen
