I use a lighter instead. It's easier, especially in the wind.

    How much?

There are loads of free sites and some others that are no way as expensive as that.

    ^^ what TB said.

My mate has been using it since about March of last year now (2007 :p); met 3 women, gone nowhere with all of them. Says it's not worth it, and he's in London where I would imagine the most choice would be.

There a much better site beginning with M which I can't mention because DS rules prohibit advertising.

By the way, why is it people always say I only joined this site for a joke! Theirs nothing embarrassing about joining a dating site nowadays you know. You can just say I joined to find a woman.

Unless it's your own site or you stand to gain from people joining that isn't a problem. People post sites that they have had good and bad experiences all the time!! See the link to match.com above!

    I think I was paying about £15 a month over 12 months.

    :o

My favourite dating site at the moment is Pocado.

Getting a few views each week but paying £20 a month. :o

My New Year's Resolution is not to use dating or social networking sites anymore and try and meet women in person.

Edit: Just seen sense and cancelled my Pocado membership.

Now where's my "How to talk to women" book?

    :D

    OH MY GOD!!!

You would be cheaper going to a bar and chatting to a girl!

That is an insane amount of money.......

Why can't you join a free one!?

My mother joined one and she got tons of dates and it was a free site. As much as I was warry of her doing that at first she loves it and has had lots of fun.

Surely in this day and age you can just go to the pub and meet one that way. Much cheaper.:D

Just looking on Match.com makes me and my mum shout out "He's got a bloody cheek" when these men come online specifying that they want someone beautiful, not fat and "intelegent" (as they spell it)
It beggars belief. It really does. Some of them are so big headed and full of their own importance that its laughable

I think that if you're a bit shy or reserved or need time to get to know people, then you're more likely to meet someone that you have lots in common with online (either on a dating site or on a forum) than you are in the pub. And you're definitely more likely to meet them than if you just sit at home waiting for Prince (or Princess) Charming to come along and knock at the door. Some people are lucky enough to be able to get chatting to total strangers in pubs without much difficulty, but I've never been able to do that. I don't see that anyone really needs to spend money on a dating site though - I've made some really great friends on forums - had one relationship with a guy I met on one (although he did turn out to be a loser, but that wasn't the forum's fault, you meet them in pubs too!) and have made lifelong friends online.
