Interesting article in this afternoon's online Daily Telegraph about a new one-stop shop for UK radio programmes and stations.
Looks like it's full steam ahead for this project:

Hopefully it might be open to beta users soon?
The Youview TV boxes look promising for use with hifis and surround sound systems with some decent Linux based software, hopefully some sets will have built in displays so a TV does not need to be on to use the radio section, but Ofcom and the OFT have yet to confirm if it will go ahead in 2011 as VM, Sky and others have objected!
