Transformers Sega (Future)

I don't know how true this is, but apparently neither Michael Bay, nor Mark Wahlberg are returning for (what would be) Transformers 5. Now I hope to high hell that this is true, cause Michael Bay can't tell a story to save his life; he's all about explosions, and I think a film (such as Transformers) needs a consistent plot alongside continuity. I've never been a fan of Mark Wahlberg either, so he wont be missed, however I remain skeptic now as to the future of these films.

Transformers 5 is allegedly planned for 2016, and it would be a bit lame if they didn't follow through on the story that they've gone with; where has Optimus gone? That said though, with Bay out of the chair, this is the perfect opportunity to ditch these six films and reboot the franchise and make something decent out of it. My worry with that is that maybe it would be too soon.

What are your thoughts?

PS: I know a lot of the rumour thus far is that Megan Fox could return, I don't have any faith in that. She's not lead material by far, and a film with her at the lead (a Transformers film with her at the helm) would fail terribly.
