Amazing comments for Princes & Rogues, what a great start for them!

Next up, it's Zak's third and final act of tonight's show. Singing Crazy by Lisa Lois, it's Danielle Blakey from the over 25s category!

I LOVED this vocal, Danielle! I think this was clear and fitting for your crystal-like tone, and it had enough edge to differentiate it from some of the other performances before. Dare I say that I think you're doing Morgan's style better than she is? Ultimately, you were my favorite over coming into Bootcamp, and I am glad that Zak has kept you on and is going to (obviously) do well with you. Loving this song and this performance - great work.

Danielle! I loved this song for you, though albeit, was rather unsure how it would go down with the rest of the panel. Lisa Lois has a lot of very mellow, dull songs, however not this one! I want to mentor you in a direction that is fun to watch and listen to, perhaps even with a bit of attitude in your performances down the line. We cannot have you comparing to Sarah! Well done Danielle, great performance.

I am surprised with how much I enjoyed that Danielle as I honestly cannot stand Lisa Lois. It was a good choice that allowed your somewhat country styled vocals along with your pop styled voice to come through as well which is something that is quite challenging to do. You were one of the early favourites in the overs category and Zak is continuing this with this song choice and I reckon you’re definitely a serious contender so just great choice and I reckon you’ll be through this week with ease so best of luck and bravo.

Danielle Blakey: I'll be honest Danielle, this song was about half way through before I paid it any attention, pretty forgettable, middle of the road beginning. When it got into the middle of the song and you started with slightly bigger notes, I paid attention and actually that was a really good performance. A slow start but once it picked up pace, I was pretty blown away, vocally you were absolutely spot on with the chorus and I really enjoyed it, your performances so far have been good but this is the one where I feel your attitude really came through, where you actually seemed to perform the song as opposed to just sing it well. I wasn't initially sure how well this would work out but it was a very good performance, well done!

Great comments for Danielle Blakey, that means at least one act from each category got a full house of good comments tonight. However, the judges' comments mean very little when compared to the public vote.

The penultimate performance of tonight's show will be brought to you by a member of Kevin's girls category. She was called out as "everyone's favourite act from the girls category" last show, can
Caitlin Koch live up to that with Sail by Noosa?

This song choice was sadly massively substandard to the song choice we witnessed during Judges Houses. I feel this song choice is fine, however will place you in a lot of trouble for the results; I don’t see you leaving the competition, Caitlin, but I certainly see you in the bottom three tonight. The song choice is actually not even that bad, just not as good as we are hoping for Caitlin. I do hope I’m wrong and we see you next week though.

Caitlin Koch: After the superb comments for you in bootcamp, I decided to go for something more upbeat as I feel like we need to show versitility with you. This was a really good performance Caitlin, I really enjoyed it and I hope that the viewers all enjoyed it too, it was quirky, different and catchy. I also think that you really performed the song, you lost yourself in the song and were able to capture the attention of the audience and of course to work the stage. Every time you perform, you get better and better and you grow in confidence and I was really impressed by this performance, it was a very good vocal and just overall was a great performance, I really hope you get through to next week as you deserve it Caitlin!

Last week you were absolutely amazing and one of my favourites of that week but this week was just the completely opposite. The song just really isn’t you in terms of style, vocals or anything really and the whole song was just really awkward and not good for you. You just kind of went from being the best to being very close to the worst and I don’t like that at all Caitlin. I understand taking risks and all but this was just not a good risk or a good song in general so I don’t really know what else to say about it other than it was just not good.

That's a bit of a decline in praise from last week, will Caitlin be able to reel in the voters regardless of these not-so-good comments?

Tonight's final performance will be brought to you by what is arguably Justin's favourite act in the entire competition. Put on your party hats and brace yourselves everyone, it's the one and only Quatrele Da'An Smith singing BOMBS by Dawn Richard!

Q! Hello Q. Now then, this song choice is going to massively divide both the panel and the public opinion, I’m sure of it. It was a very risky song choice and I can certainly see how it would work. However, I also find it to be a bit of a novelty song choice and I really would prefer you didn’t take him in this direction as I don’t find him to be novelty. I find him to be a perfectly good singer who simply… dresses like a woman, which shouldn’t even be a factor. I hope next week we get to see something a little less cabaret and novelty-like, and something more vocally impressive because I feel this is the only way Quatrele will be able to progress further in the competition.

Quatrele Da'An Smith: Quatrele, I'm really glad that you're here and I really like your voice but again, being slightly blunt, I fear that Jag has turned you into somewhat of a gimmick with the drag queen song used last week and now this. You have a good male vocal so why Justin insists on giving you a female vocal I don't know. This felt somewhat like it was making a mockery of you as it felt like a song that would be given to a novelty act, I don't agree with capitalizing on the fact that you dress up as a girl because that isn't really relevant to your voice or you as a singer. I can see why Justin decided to choose this song but I personally would prefer that your performances are more focused on your vocals than the fact that you happen to dress up as a girl. Sorry Quatrele, but I was really disappointed.

Okay Quatrele, Justin explained to me a while ago about the direction he’s taking you in and why he’s doing it and I actually do get it but at the same time I am not sure the rest of the public will and whether they will like it at all. I mean I’ve said before you’re probably the weakest vocally in the competition and this again showed but I don’t exactly know what’s going to happen tonight so all I can really say is best of luck to you and as the other judges have said maybe step away from the whole woman vocal thing.

Well, I yelled at some acts for being too safe, so I am happy to see you taking a risk. Unfortunately, that's about the only thing positive I can say about this performance. WHAT was this song choice? Caitlin has soul, Caitlin has interpretive and emotional skills. Caitlin is NOT a quirky girl! It's like you gave her the song you meant to save for Sarah just to use it. I hate to say it, but tonight, the mighty have fallen, Caitlin. I'm a bit scared for your prospects in this show.

    Quatrele

Ladies and gentlemen, the party has started! Quatrele is in the house and just slayed the competition. This was a flawless performance - it shows more soul to your voice while still delivering a current, non-gimmciky performance that I could hear on the radio tomorrow. I love you, I loved this performance, and especially considering some of the other contestants we've seen today, if you're in the bottom two, I am going to call conspiracy. And just to be clear - if there is one thing I am NOT trying to do, it's force Quatrele into a drag mold. His voice is amazing, as everyone is pointing out, and it's very suited to female RnB/Soul vocals. I'm not picking these songs because he dressed in drag for one audition. I'm picking them because they fit his voice well, in my opinion. I am assuming he'll be in the B2, however, so I guess I will plan on something different.

Unfortunately we end the show on a (slightly) negative, as Quatrele didn't quite get the comments he and his mentor Justin had hoped to get. It was entertaining though!

All right everyone, the top twelve have performed, and now it's time for the public to have a say. Yes, it's up to you, the lovely denizens of the DS forums, to decide which two acts will be leaving the competition tonight. It's a double elimination, so the act with the lowest amount of votes will leave the competition immediately while the acts with the 2nd and 3rd lowest amounts of votes will face each other in front of the judges during the sing-off.

    Here's a recap of tonight's performances:
Black Ivory - Alive by Krewella

Good Question - Wonderland by Natalia Kills

Note from Jack: Kristina (the rapper) is also able to sing quite well (from the youtube videos) so in this one trying to imagine her doing more sing styled rapping like in the song.

Voted...I have to be honest here, I am a Caitlin supporter but I was very disappointed at the song she got. :(

However, I absolutely LOVED Sarah and Ethan. Joseph and Black Ivory were great and Princes & Rogues was my surprise of the night! :D

Can I just ask one question to the judges? Why are we being close-minded about the ability of a male vocalist to cover predominantly female songs? I understand that this performance was more camp than some might have liked, sure, but I am a male vocalist who covers female songs on the regular, and don't get accused of being drag and camp... I don't understand what the difference is? Is your problem the style of the song, or the sheer fact that Quatrele is singing female songs? I guess I'm just curious because, like, Matt Cardle sang a lot of female songs, but he was a WGWG, so it's different?

I think I'm gonna take a stab (and be horribly wrong), but I think the bottom three will be an over, a boy and a girl..
