I love grilled sandwiches especially during this time of the year when the weather is cold and wet.
I love melted cheese :D so I was wondering what's you favourite recipe as I would love to recreate them :)

bacon brie and cranberry is my favourite.

Or chicken and stuffing and cranberry.

Only once a week though, as I'm cutting down on carbs!

What's the best loaf of bread to use with a sandwich maker?

Lidls are selling one next week, but I always find them too much trouble to clean.

If you butter the outside of the bread or use a tiny amount of spray oil on the plates of the sarnie maker before using then they're fairly easy to wipe clean. Certainly much easier than they were in the 70s when they first came out (most of my limited use of them was in the 70s).

I prefer the sandwich bags that you put in the toaster. No need to butter the outside of the sandwich, so it doesn't end up fried rather than grilled, and cleanup is a breeze.

    Tuna melt is my fave.

Cheers for the advice, I brought a sandwich maker from Lidl, only £8.

Will try the spray oil first as I'm not keen on buttering the outside of the sandwiches.
