In my post in last weeks thread, i mentioned that the Sky+ features were running on my FSFS box after adding BT Sport.

Well, today Sky sent me a letter demanding £14 by the 27th of this month with a breakdown of why.
    £10 for Sky+ and £4 admin charge!

So BT are enabling this feature but Sky are demanding a fee from you for it.
(Please note this only applies to people that add BT Sport or other services to what is usually just a FSFS box)
    Beware!

Just had an email from Sky taking responsibility for this error.
The CS guy added it when i called them to pair a card (Why?!?!?!?!)
Anyway, its been turned off and i will not have to pay the charge.
    Resolved.

The BBC and Sky row over EPG fees is growing, with ITV, C4 and the government all backing the BBC and calling on Sky to drop the fees.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2013/may/22/bbc-sky-bskyb-retransmission-fees

Plenty of predictably self serving arguments in that piece. Presumably the BBC are only saying though that they should get 101/102 (SD) and 141/142 (HD) for free. Can't see a case for them getting free EPG slots for BBC Three, BBC Four, BBC News, BBC Parliament, CBeebies, CBBC and the 20 or so regional variants at 951 to 972 if the argument is about the primary PSB channels.

    Update

    11023H 22000 5/6

'8900' - now has Dolby AC3 audio but badly out of sync with video, probably due to the fact the PCR PID (5300) isn't matched to the VPID but a totally different value (8191).

I think all BBC services come under a PSB remit, as opposed to just ITV, C4, C5 in the commercial side of things. This would mean BBC Three, Four, Parliament and News but guess not the regional variations of BBC1/2 in the 900's.

In addition to the helpful summary of updates by Jimbo above, there are also a number of changes identified at post 3 by djrich. Some of these have been overtaken or included/updated by Jimbo but others not. I think the following still apply:

    11.023H 8900 DVB-S2 8PSK SR 23000 has FEC 2/3, not 5/6 [this needs checking as others are still quoting 22000 5/6]

    11.222 H, 27.500, 2/3.

    "52060"....Showing 'Heat'.
    "52065"....Showing 'Magic'.

    Txp# D4S 11.527 V
50366______For 'BT Sport 1' (Commercial or ROI)
    .
    Txp# 31 12.304 H should show DVB-S2 QPSK SR 29500 FEC 3/4

    12.607 H is Txp# F3L , not F4L

    Txp# F4L 12.607 V (not H!)
55336_______For 'BT Sport 2' (Commercial or ROI)

How far out is the sound? I thought this was actually silent?

Forum member technologist clarified over in the Broadcasting forum that its not the EPG listing fee (that other providers including Digital UK and Freesat charge), it's the extra platform charge that's in dispute.

I reckon it was about a second or so out. What are you using to monitor it with, it might be with no VPID PCR reference some receivers don't sync the audio at all?

Yep, I read that. It's interesting as if they waiver the BBC retransmission fees then surely everyone else will want the same!

    What 'retansmission'
The BBC pays for the transmission.

Would someone be able to do me a massive favour?
I need to know the resolutions of Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4, News & F1 SD channels.
    Please? :)

Interesting one with Box Nation being paired with ESPN on this Txp. Looks like movement for BT.

Hopefully this new HD test transmission from the BBC is going to be a red button channel for Wimbledon.

    M60 - I am actually using a Technomate 5402HDCI+

On this on 8900 I just get video but the APID shows as 5301 and AC3. I am not aware of any way to get the sound. Hope that helps.

Maybe the BBC will finally succumb to the fact nobody else can afford the 5th DTT HD slot and surprise us all with a launch of 'Red Button HD' across all platforms for Wimbledon??

That's wierd, I'm just using a Panasonic Freesat enabled TV. I wonder if the Technosat handles the audio differently if there's no correct PCR PID time-reference wise?

4Music and the whole Box network can now be viewed online via http://www.4music.com/watch-now. May be of more interest to Freesat users who currently don't have 4Music.

@Jimbo I have a TM5402HD also, sound is working but out of sync by about 1/2 sec at most.

Press info twice and I get this,
    VPID 5300
    APID 5301
    PPID 8191

Correct. But the PCR PID is actually =1. 8191 is -1 or 1FFF in HEX). So the channel itslef is not configured properly. The PCR should be the same as the VPID on a TV channel and the same as an APID for a radio channel.
