Isn't that the way black people have said ask for years?
I know that's the only way I've ever heard my black friends pronounce it.

News at 10 can be considered mid to high brow viewing so regardless of the race of their news reader all would be expected to have "correct" pronunciation. As for Sir Trevor his very slight accent is not influced by the heavy patois that arks is influnced by, rather the lighter Eastern Caribbean english.

My nan (mothers side) being from St Kitts and Nevis is very well spoken but my grandad (fathers side) being from Jamaica should sometimes only speak with subtitiles.

But keep in mind, it might only be the character that says "aks" not the actress

Chelsea might say "aks", but Tiana might not, if you catch my drift

As previously stated the character of Chelsea Fox is from England.

The point being if Chelsea was born and brought up in England she wouldn't or rather shouldn't say aks!

Alot of this is peer pressure and to do with how friends and family pronounce things even though that doesn't make it correct to say it like that....
