  It's still an amazing rating, but bear in mind India has a population of 1.252 billion people. The UK has 60 million.

  That's only equivalent to 5.8m watching in the UK ... less than Doctor Who and lots less than SCD or X-Factor.
  It would need to be 450-500m to equal regular top UK programmes in the 1980s (Eastenders started on c17m, while the Christmas day 'Den and Angie divorce papers' episode reached 30m!!! (that's 750m in Indian measure)
