You clearly didn't look at the stream, the guy goes way way way further than that.
He's a nobody sure, but just an example of the type that can be so brainwashed they end up as hateful as that, yet proclaim themselves to be the "progressive" side.
He's cited in wikipedia on the article in women in games, so he's "feminist" enough for that apparently. But to him burning "evil people" in ovens is justified, jews were innocent so they didn't deserve it, but gamergate people? They are evil...so therefore all measures are justified. But again this is the perfect representation of their mentality. They just label people as evil, and then they feel justified in doing anything to them. Which accounts for the doxxing, the harassment, the false flagging the smears, the dishonesty. Now that a feminist group has input on twitters moderation, they immediately suspended a good number of the members of gamergate, basically they can rationalize anything when the fact is if their actions were turned against them, they would be outraged.
Just imagine if a gamergate person has said the things he had said...the internet would be on fire at this point...

He said worse on his Facebook account, suggesting a "final solution". If anything, he isn't the only one who has shown a macabre attraction to such a solution to GamerGate. Something my local MP being the chair of the All-Party Group Against Antisemitism, is likely to find in bad taste.
His vitrol on Facebook doesn't make me angry as such. I pity him for sliding into a breakdown and suggest he seeks therapy and time away from social networks for his own sanity.

I do think she goes too far by implying the tropes are taken as reality by male gamers, the fact that they are tropes should indicate they aren't IMO.

Without access to the analytics of any of the videos, no-one could ever answer that.
But I suspect if a video of an opponent of GamerGate advocating a "final solution" (a.k.a. George Tait's disgraceful outburst on Facebook) was linked to, not a critical word would be uttered.
I've got no axe to grind since I'm not a gamer (playing Numpty Physics on Ubuntu now and again just does not count!) but I have three general observations about this whole situation:
1. It's wrong for anyone online to threaten death or rape for that can never be justified;
2. It's wrong for anyone to sleep with reviewers just to get good product reviews;
3. It's wrong to start squealing discrimination and misogyny in response to reasonable and legitimate comments and criticisms.
