Hi all.
Is this dress acceptable to wear to a wedding? I know its not white, but I'm not sure if it's too close?

I'll be attending all day.
I thought that, but when I see it on this site, it's quite a bit lighter

Yes, I see what you mean.
How about wearing a little jacket or wrap in the dark colour to match the spots?
Yes!
Unless she tells the guests otherwise. It's just an unwritten rule really. Most brides wear white and it's considered bad manners for female guests to wear white.
I did think about wearing a wrap, but then for all the time I would actually wear it, it might not make much difference.
I've seen some alternatives, so maybe I'll just go with one of those. The cream is my favourite though

That one's maybe still a bit light though.
One word yes, that dress is beautiful hope you enjoy the day.
I think I'll give it a go. I bet after being convinced it won't even fit me!
Mind you, I didn't know about this unwritten rule until one of my friends asked if she could wear an ivory/cream dress to my wedding. I was a bit bemused and thought she was just asking advice because she was a bit of a lush and had been known to spill red wine down herself more than once. When she explained she was actually asking 'permission' I told her I'd no problem with it but I reserved the right to laugh like a drain when made a mess of herself.
Don't really understand this rule. Someone in a white dress isn't going to show the bride up... unless they turn up with full train and veil. Now that would be something.
Wear this.

It'll be fine...
Hahaha! Nah, bit plain. I want to stand out on my big day! : D
I laughed about your friend and then remembered that I wore a white skirt to my friends wedding (lots of bronze/silver sequins and yes, I asked her permission) only to drop my chocolate profiteroles on it. The bar staff worked a miracle before my very eyes (well, I was in a cubicle in my knickers) getting every last bit out with cream soda. Or it might have been soda water - I'd had a few by then.
