Noticed their new video the other day.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ljg6g7BAdQo
Absolutely love the track & made me dig the album out for another listen. I think I like them more than ever now, had it on repeat in the car. Only song I'm not that bothered about is the last one 'Running If You Call My Name'. Apart from the latest single, my favourites are Forever, Don't Save Me & Days Are Gone.
To add insult to injury, turns out they are playing a gig in my town tonight & it was sold out
Also i've found you can whittle away hours watching their interviews , very entertaining... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQqcmwgaSnM

Also check them out on YT playing Oh Well live.
I like the video for If I Could Change Your Mind, even though I don't 'get' the choreography.
Not sure about them though....they look a little greasy and geeky but I guess that is part of their appeal.
Yes, it's brilliant. Here is the Live Lounge: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piHrXlMMmZU
I like watching their live performances of Let Me Go, great energy. This was at Reading & Leeds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Geqgb3Rze5w
To answer another poster, I think the appeal of them is that fact it's girls rocking out and playing rock instruments, extremely well. Theres nothing else in the mainstream out there like them (as far as i'm aware), plus their personalities are fab and they've really won people over through that as well.

Este kills it on bass.
I didn't like pop-rock. My favourite music tends to be electronic and I was of the opinion that "guitar-music" was really old-fashioned.
I even thought the fact that they were sisters, in a band together, was bit cheesy.
But after hearing Falling, I was like "WHO ARE THESE GIRLS, THIS SONG IS AMAZING!". I purchased their album Days Are Gone on a whim, on the strength of this song and was initially disappointed with the album. At first, I thought at first the songs were samey and that their vocals were weird. I ignored the album for a number of months.
When I returned to the album at a later date though, it all just clicked with me. The vocals, the instrumentation, the production. Even the lyrics began to catch my ear, which is a real feat for me because I basically never pay much attention to what an artist is singing about (I'm more of a production person I suppose).
As time went on, I found myself coming back to the album more and more, at the moment, I find myself listening to it at least twice a week! It has reached my Top 5 favourite albums, a substantial feat with my fast growing collection of 120+ albums!
So yeah, that's how I discovered Haim for myself. I feel that their album really did away with my misconceptions about rock. I now find myself listening to the likes of St. Vincent, M83 and even Pink Floyd as a result of getting into Days Are Gone!
This thread has made me pop it on for a listen just there!
I think this is insanely good...

I prefer that to the multitude of manufactured, controlled & talentless acts that are thrust upon us these days.
I only came across Haim earlier this week when I was briefly out in my wifes car - radio tuned to BBC Radio 2, when Steve Wright played If I Could Change Your Mind. At first I thought I was listening to something from the 80's - Boy Meets Girl meets 5 Star, but thanks to Shazam on my mobile phone I soon discovered what the track actually was.
Since then I've listened to & watched a fair bit of their stuff on YouTube, and as a life long musician myself I have to say that I am genuinely impressed with what they are doing. They are all decent musicians, all they need is some more good songs and it's looking like they may be on the verge of properly breaking through.
As mentioned earlier, some of their interviews etc. are also very good and it's nice to see that they are a little different and can actually think for themselves, be original, and not come out with all of the usual stereotyped rubbish that you hear elsewhere.
The Este bass face stuff is funny as well, and she can really play.
If I Could Change Your Mind is an extremely good rock-pop song, I have listened to it on countless occasions in the past few weeks. Really happy to see it getting radio play and the signs are that it has gotten a lot of other people interested in them - their album has been back in the iTunes top 20 the last few weeks as high as #6.
