I know it's not Big Band but this is X Factor. Anything with brass instuments in it probably classes as Big Band for the judges.
Anyway, Fleur says she's doing something that's never been done on X Factor before...
Big band to me is that jazzy style type of music... It doesn't have to be an old song... But its the style... So candyman and mambo #5 counts, but not bang bang or crazy stupid love...

Yes I know obviously What I'm saying is the chorus sounds like it'd suit BB week but obviously it wouldn't sound exactly like the original. I agree about CSL.

Oops I didn't realise by the title this was song suggestions. (I made a thread for suggestions rather than predictions though )
Jay: Puttin' On the Ritz - Fred Astaire
Ben: Up Above My Head - Sister Rosetta Tharpe
Stevi: Strangers in the Night - Frank Sinatra
Fleur: Sweet Georgia Brown - Pearl Bailey
Lauren: It's De-Lovely - Ella Fitzgerald
Only the Young: You Give a A Little Love - From the film Bugsy Malone
Stereo Kicks: Ain't Too Proud to Beg - The Temptations
Why are people suggesting crazy stupid love or bang bang at all...those will never pass as big band songs....
I just listened to Bang Bang on youtube and you're actually right. I thought it was more Big Band-sounding than it actually is. Just goes to show I rarely listen to a song's instrumental.

Trust me...I listen to bang bang enough to know its not passable as a big band song...:p
OTY- Get Happy (Judy Garland)
Stereo Kicks- Ain't That A Kick In The Head (Dean Martin)
Fleur- Sparkling Diamonds (Nicole Kidman's version of Marilyn Monroe's Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend)
Jay- Nature Boy (Nat King Cole)
Stevi- That Old Black Magic (Frank Sinatra)
Ben- Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby (Cab Calloway)
Ben - Mr Bojangles
Jay - Smile
Fleur - Get Happy
Stevi - As someone said already, he'll probably get Cry Me A River...
Lauren - Fly Me To The Moon (similar arrangement to the Joshua Radin version)
Andrea - New York, New York
OTY - I Get A Kick Out Of You
Stereo Kicks - Ain't That A Kick In The Head

Would Sam Cooke count as big band? Or Stevie Wonder? The Supremes? Think they would suit Lauren's voice anyway. Diana Ross has a similar "light" voice.
Stevie will be prancing around whatever he does and wearing spats and braces and a hat and a stick on mustache a la Bugsy Malone.

Why on earth is Adam Lambert on next week when this week was Queen v MJ?

As if XF would never stray away from a theme.:D
I suspect the same old songs will feature though: Mack The Knife, Cry Me A River (the usual Buble version), At Last, Moon River, Feeling Good etc.
At least these are all big band songs...

Then why so many suggesting it???...
Huh? Bang Bang or CSL?
I think Lauren could actually be doing 'Cry Me A River'.
