  She's a really bad actress. In fact I don't rate any of the actors in that storyline, even Anna, beyond grating.

  Ooooh Derek that's controversial! Lol. I think Debbie Rush is a great actress, she plays the downtrodden mother part to perfection. Bit of a screecher but who wouldn't be after everything Anna's been through?!
