Freeview Channels by Service and Channel numbers for manual tuning
We have a Sony Trinitron KV-28DX30U TV, it's probably one of the first TVs to have an inbuilt Freeview tuner but it only has space for 100 channels ranging from 0 - 99 including any analogue channels found.
We now also have Sky and use this the most but we sometimes use the Freeview channels when we record off Sky or visa-versa so it would be good if I could properly tune the TV for all digital channels.
I know from looking at the Freeview channel list on the internet, there isn't over 100 channels on freeview but as they use the three-figure channel numbers also, our old TV doesn't support them.
I can, however, manually tuner the channels and I could do with a list of Freeview channels by "Service" Number and "Channel" Number.
Does anyone know of a website that lists the channels by this?
Thanks

It looks a little confusing, but basically all you need are the six numbers immediately under the "Ch" column headings.
Basically, for each Multiplex the set finds it numbers each service (tv channel/radio station etc) it finds starting at 1 with a maximum of 11 services per MUX.
In practice what this means is that the OP will have to go through each UHF channel (using manual tuning) and enter each service number (1 to 11) to find out which channel is on which service number.
To further complicate matters, some Multiplexes have more than 11 services nowadays, so the OP will have to delete some channels they don't watch.
To be honest, these sets are very poor and with DSO coming up it would be better to get a set with the digital tick.
Thanks for your replies, as we use Sky most of the time, it isn't really a problem not having some channels on Freeview, so long as we have the main channels that's all that really matters (after all a lot of channels on Freeview are poor anyway!)
When I get a bit of time, I'll go through each Service and Channel using the manual tuner and make a list of channels.
The TV itself is very good, the image quality is brilliant and as it was a lot of money when we bought it six years ago, I think we'll be sticking to it for some time (until at least HDTV becomes mainstream) and as I said above, we use Sky most of the time so I'll just manually tune the channels we want on Freeview.
