Yeah, I was thinking of the Syed/Zainab scene too! And Zainab coming round would show how far she's grown in her acceptance of them since Syed's wedding to Amira.
I want Linda back! And I hope Jane returns too, even just for the wedding
Yeah, it would totally show how far Zainab's come. From not even being able to say Christian's name to actually accepting him marrying her son
It'd be sad if Linda and Jane don't attend cos then Christian would have no family there
Yes to the posters who have said they want the drama to revolve around if Zainab and Masood attend (& then get Zainab and Masood married again please )

Aww, yes, I want Zainab and Masood to marry again. Just not on the same day - no double wedding please :D Both couples deserve their own day
I want to see Linda arguing with Zainab and then going out on the town with Cora
Linda Baron is a great actress. I find it odd EEs have never tried to make more of her. She could be a legend in waiting. Plus they need more older characters.

She's awesome She worked so well as Christian and Jane's mum too, very believeable.
*enters thread, see's the usual Chryed hate and the lovely Chryedian posts*
Yes, i want the will Zainab attend or not drama. But i hope she will in the end and give a nice speech on how she wasn't too sure first but she finally sees how happy Christian makes Syed.

Totally agree, a double wedding would so tacky and I think Zainab and Masood deserve a HUGE wedding, bigger than Syed and Amira. Who cares if it's second time around btw if they did get married again would they have to start the years they have been married from 1 again, wiping out the previous 28..seems a waste speaking of which I fairly certain that their anniversay is in January about the 16/17...I think. it should have been 29 years

Yeah, also, Zainab especially would not stand for it And Zainab would want a huge wedding I think...though I'm not sure, maybe they'll think low key is best? But they do deserve screentime dedicated to it either way
I'd love a low key one for Chryed, to contrast with the huge spectacle of Syed and Amira's - they don't need a fuss, just their love, and their closest friends and family

Do Syed and Christian actually have any friends outside of Walford and the few sad extras who attended the engagement? I doubt there will be any Muslim guests at the nuptuals apart from the Masoods if they turn up because by now, after everything the family has done including Zainab currently living with a man who is not her husband but who used to be her husband, if they were not alienated by the whole of the their community they will be now.
If Zainab and Masood have accepted their relationship (and I see nothing forced about Zainab asking them for lunch), then one would imagine that, as good Muslims, they would want their son married before he starts bringing children into the world/his life, with his partner.
and IF TPTB go the whole "double-wedding" route, then it should be funny, not dramatic. No someone-just-died!-exploded!-their-arse-fell-off! story-lines, but a couple of funny mix-ups to alleviate the usual depression that accompanies wedding eps.

Sorry, but physically they cannot bring children into the world, they can adopt.

Does anyone in Walford have any friends outside of Walford?
They have their families, and Tanya, Roxy, Kalfie, Fatboy, Janine, Kim, and probably others who would attend. Their engagement party had quite a nice little turnout - there doesn't need to be that many people there.
Also, Syed is a muslim, if Christian and him were to get married, how would it work?
They wouldn't be allowed to have any religious content so I wonder how Syed would feel about that? Although I listened to an interesting documentary last year about Muslim gay weddings and that there are some Imam's in the UK who will conduct them.
but he has always been so close to his mum, so I can completely understand him wanting her to remain a part of his life. We can't give up on those we love just because it's a bit difficult.
No he's rather stay around and make everyone life difficult instead of making a decision like a man. He needs to go - everyone including Christian would end up much happier without him around.

I thought so. Interesting, I never thought there were imams who would marry them. I suppose its like that with every religion.

Which is why I added "his life". By adopting, he would be bringing a child into his life. But seeing as you're a Muslim, could you answer a question? Would Zainab and Masood, if they accept the relationship, make a point about Chryed being married before adopting? Even if they couldn't have a religious ceremony?

I want to see Linda arguing with Zainab and then going out on the town with Cora

Linda was great She never actually interacted with Zainab when she was in it, did she? Seeing them together could make way for some hilarious scenes

Still pissed they were divorced to begin with, it should not have happened.

that could bring a new storyline of the Masoods v Chryed, especially as Zainab would not accept two men raising her Grand-daughter.

I like that but is Amira actually leaving? It could be interesting but wouldn't the baby go to Syed by law anyway as he's the father?

Zainab does go on about their community but we only really saw them during the Syed/Christian reveal.
