I was looking up law stuff for a presentation I have to give and I came across this: http://www.irishlaw.org/
The design is an absolute mess, it seems to have no structure to it and it's extremely outdated. It looks as though it was made in the 90s for slow dial up connections
Can't knock this guy really, as he's raising money for charity, but his website is in serious need of a design update. Especially the santa following your mouse!!!

I remember dabbling with MS Frontpage in 2003/2004 but I didn't get anywhere with it. I was trying to learn about website design and I thought that would be the best program to use for it. Sadly I never got anywhere What happened to it?

FrontPage 2003 was the last edition. It was dropped in favour of Expression Web (which seems to be geared more towards programmers) and SharePoint Designer.
Nowadays it seems if you want a website, for most people the options are - code your own from scratch, modify a pre-built template or an use an off-the-shelf service.
This is the official site of our main Cinema. I couldn't work out where the cinema listings were - turns out you have to scroll down the page and then there is a huge long list of movies and showtimes.
The rest of the site is equally as bad. On the bright-side, it appears to be keeping costs down. A ticket is only £5.20.
That site actually looks okay. A lot better than the hideous colours used in the first one. It might not be one of the smartest looking sites out there, but it's much easier on the eyes than the monstrosity in the first link is.
Bloody hell! It makes you wonder what the hell goes through some people's minds when designing websites. VERY uncomfortable for the eyes. That's just mad!
Edit: That noise is just a stupid thing to add as well.

I used FrontPage 2002. I never got far with it but at least I tried it for a while. I guess it was always a more obscure MS Office program. I also had to use MS Publisher a couple of times. Is that still going? I find that people don't bother with their own websites these days. It's all identikit Facebook pages that take 5 minutes to set up

Yep. Part of Office Pro.

I agree. In many ways it comes across as lazy. In some cases unprofessional even. On a similar note it also irks me slightly when you get companies who can't be bothered to pay a couple of quid for a decent domain name so use phrases like "search for ... ". If you (company marketing people) cant be bothered to sort out a decent online presence then chances are whatever you are flogging isn't worth the time ;-)
'Search for' isn't so bad if the company has paid to have a listing displayed for that keyword(s). Quite possibly this is more expensive than a domain that might be clever but is also forgotten.
It's actually quite refreshing to see that now so many Web 2.0 sites seem to want to look like clones of the Apple site or any site promoting a new app.
It has to be www.ee.co.uk as much as i like their network, their website is just awful.
For a well-known company, they could have had their site designed better. It does look very basic once you start going down the page. There doesn't seem to be any lines or whatever in place that separates each of their items/packages that they have to offer where the iPads and below are. It does look as though not much thought and change have been put into it.
I can forgive hobbyist websites almost anything (I would rather people share information than not, irrespective of presentation), but that thing is designed by professional/s...

It's worth a look, as these guys have just dug up 5000 ancient coins, perhaps worth £10 million. Perhaps they can afford a new website!

Has to be the most ridiculous website I've seen in a while, both in terms of design and content
