are there many high courts for negligence in the uk ?

Where is a list of them ?

to submit this through court, how do you find your local high court that this would go through,

(nearest to your home address)?

it has to be one dealing with negligence.

Surely that is something for your specialist medical negligence solicitors to worry about. You are using specialist solicitors I hope?

we don`t have different courts for different types of cases beyond civil, crown and magistrates, if you want to pursue a case it`s probably best to consult a legal adviser. i`d go to the cab first.

    edit: it`s civil court.
Clinical negligence, formerly known as 'medical negligence', is the process by which a patient takes his medical attendants to a civil court for compensation. It is not about professional conduct or terms of service.

    The process of litigation
The CPRs have to be adhered to by the lawyers:

Once a claim is being made, a 'letter of claim' has to be sent. There are then several weeks allowed in order to gather information and to prepare a defence and respond to the letter of claim.
If the Claimant wishes to proceed further they then need to issue proceedings stating 'particulars of claim' and 'particulars of negligence'.
The Defence then issues a formal defence and any statements to support that defence.
Experts from both sides will have prepared reports and at some stage the information will be exchanged. If the case continues, the Court will order a meeting of experts to try to define the areas of disagreement. Finally, only as last resort, will it come to trial.
The process is prolonged and painful for all parties so is best avoided.

    Is this your homework?
Obviously you contact a solicitor and they either pass you to more specialist advisor or bring the case to the appropriate court.

Sorry but it does not work that way, you need to seek expert legal advice from solicitors who deal with this area, and they will help you with this. What i can tell you is cases of this nature can take years to sort out.

Will second the BIB, as it took my sister 6 years to get compensation after a surgeon screwed up.

Well I suppose if the OP has had a nail broken then the small claims court, which can deal with personal injury claims up to £1,000, would fit the bill.:D
