O, I think to a lot of gayers he's eye candy. That is the only explanation of why he is there. It certainly cannot be his "acting.":)

    Think this involves TPTB?

Get rid of Mason! One of the most annoying characters ever and it's worse that he's overexposed.

His bloody awful droning voice really annoys. He's a shocking actor*.

    *even by Neighbours standards.

Is this bloke actually popular with Australians?

I hate those gratuitous bare chests, scrawny kid who looks like a toast rack. His acting's poor too, is he related to the producer perhaps?

If you are a teenage Australian girl then, yes. A few of my cousins love him. The aunt that i know that watches can't stand him.

    More gratuitous chest-baring today!

Does he wax, or isn't he old enough to grow body hair?

    Was he fired?
Cause' that statement "After a considerable discussion with the producers, we all agree Mason deserves a rest"
    LOL. Bitch, please!

Shame for the lad, but he just wasn't up to the role. Some of Neighbours castings decisions work, and the actor grows and improves (Elle Robinson, for example), other times it doesn't (Didge, Ringo etc....)

I must admit I will feel bad if he has been sacked and I'm happy about it. Taylor didn't have much time to adapt given the amount of storylines he's had thrown at him.

However, I'm very pleased there will be no more Mason.....

Yeouch that was some statement ;)

Oh well, he might return with a new head. He's the only newbie I can't warm too.

Fans of this thread will be happy.

I guess it was a mutual decision, with heavier emphasis on TPTB than Taylor. It's a shame for the guy, but he wasn't clicking with the audience, and if they can dump the Kapoors/Lucas & Vanessa, then Mason should not be immune. Although, TPTB have to shoulder some of the blame, as they over exposed him massively, which didn't help at all.

In casting Daniel Robinson please Neighbours go for talent and not beefcake.

Taylor was hired for his looks and cannot act and I hope Harley Bonner follows him soon too.

I suspect they axed Mason to pave the way for Daniel Robinson...

I feel for the boy, but the truth is, he's just not an actor.

Hope his career takes off elsewhere.

Best news I've heard in ages. He's truly awful.

Wow. I got it wrong I said we'd be waiting longer than 21 pages!

Let joy be unconfined! Once he's gone and with Kate gone too I *might* be tempted to tune in again! Still won't like Floater or the other teens but at least the worst of them will be gone!
