The last I heard, Comcast were pretty satisfied with the numbers that it had gotten for them...

You mean DirecTV. Comcast is a US cable provider that doesn't have anything to do with FNL.:)

^^ Yep, it's DirecTV. I keep mixing them up as it was Jericho that was hoping to go with Comcast. Doh......

yeh also the show costs less for NBC now its in partnership with directv,so hopefully the current ratings are good enough and fnl can hold up

^^Sadly, this was always going to happen.

Same happened with Jericho when the pre-airs got leaked onto the net. A lot of people who knew they were there grabbed them and then didn't bother watching when they aired on CBS. The DirecTV episodes have been 'around' since airing. Again, I'd imagine that a lot of people who watch the show have already gotten them and watched them, and didn't bother catching them on NBC.

A shame really. Always wondered about a Friday night slot for the show as well. Given the nature of the show, wouldn't a lot of people who might watch the show, be actually out watching/playing 'friday night' football?

indeed but it failed on tuesdays too ratigns wise

i would have hoped FNL fanbase was rabid enough to watch both airings :(

lets just hope directtv partnership is still cost effective for nbc

3.96m for the second episode last Friday.

On the bright side, it beat EVERYTHING on the CW! :D

To be fair, CBS aside, NOTHING does particularly well on Friday nights.

^^ Isn't it "Don't Forget the Lyrics"? Either way, all of Fox's Friday night schedule pulls in an audience around the mid 5m mark.

Digging up this old thread, as I can't find the most recent one anywhere. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms or something.

Anyway, sort of new Friday Night Lights!!
