I'm so thrilled to hear that Matt Lucas is going to play Thenardier in the West End!
He is so good as the innkeeper and must be so chuffed!!! :D

    Oh thanks for putting that up, and Matt for recording it. they are so cute. It makes me laugh when Alfie giggles at Matt and then tries to seriously get back into singing. He did that in the Les mis Documentary too.

    It's really made my day that clip.
    I love Alfie Boe. I have a little crush since the Les mis documentary and concert dvd on him. :p I'm now on the catch up trying to get hold of all his previous stuff.

    How does he do that stood there or casual like with hands in pockets and then sing like that?, so beautiful.

    Congrats to Matt as well on Les mis. I thought he was great in the concert. A life long dream come true. He must be thrilled.

    I normally don't like celebrities being cast in theatre just off the back of their name, but I think Matt has actually earned this role as he was fantastic in the concert...and I'm not even a fan of him under normal circumstances.

    Good luck to him. Must be amazing to land one of your dream roles.

    I became a fan of Matt after seing him play Thenardier and thought he made the part his own even after such a short rehearsal time and I hope he has a fun time, especially with his mate Alfie Boe playing Jean Valjean! :cool: :D I'm sure that Matt and Les Mis will have some 'new' fans! :D
