  There's a chippy in Broughty Ferry does them (or did last time I was up there). Absolutely bloody lovely they are, although I couldn't manage a full one.

  I've not had DFMB, but always fancied trying one, as well as the Battered Kebab mentioned on QI a few series back.
  
  I have however made deep friend Ice cream which is extreamly easy and VERY tasty.
