I am stockpiling them already, with more snow likely they may run short, then when the supermarkets run out I can sell them at a huge profit. We cannot survive without Easter Eggs. I bought 16 trolley loads today.

Well my local Tesco was selling eggs, flour and milk on Ash Wednesday this year - that's 365 days before Shrove Tuesday...

I dont think our Sainsburys has yet, but I hope they will soon. I know i'm weird but I always love easter egg chocolate more than normal chocolate. For some reason it tastes better to me.

That happened years ago. A local paper shop started selling mini eggs and creme eggs 2 weeks ago!

Also Easter is a late one this year.

Good post. However, they are not Easter eggs, they are a symbol of rebirth, the new year. Thats what the cream egg is all about!

You're right that the eggs taste better than regular chocolate, it's not the same as the stuff you get in bars as it has to be made from a different recipe to achieve the egg shape. There's nothing so good as biting into chocolate shell, roll on Easter. :)

I don't know why people are making such a big deal of this story, if you don't want easter eggs yet, don't buy them! it seems as though people like to slag off big business at every opportunity.

I always wondered what they did to make them taste different! I bought a chocolate santa from Sainsburys earlier knocked down to 50p. I am about to try it, hoping it's like easter egg chocolate. Hope so!
