On one hand it’s good for Russia and Italy to be only real contenders in second half, but will they now just be seen as yet another ballad in a sea of them? Still think Sweden can win this from a 10-13 draw.

So they don't have to prove it's random?

It's 100% orchestrated to "make for a better show".

Mans not making a huge impact so far:

and yes, I know it's early, but already at this point on Tuesday we saw Belgium and Russia doing well in the charts.

What's the bets Sweden will be #13 again?

I really think that would be unfair. I know they don't necessarily take previous years into account but they should when it comes to positions that are either particularly advantageous or disadvantageous.

Can we go back to totally random draw next year?

Making it random doesn't make it less likely that this mess will happen though.

Especially after it was heavily rumoured that the Swedish delegation demanded that position before the running order was announced... then it turned out it was given to them :(

I am totally for a totally random draw without the silly 1st half 2nd half thing.
Giving no room for producers to rig.

I can see Sweden winning if they stay out of 1-5 position.

Will be interesting to see where they place the UK also after their tantrum in 2012.

Now if I was the producer I would do the draw as:

    1: Slovenia
    2: Cyprus
    3: Armenia
    4: Lithuania
    5: Belgium
    6: Estonia
    7: Sweden
    8: France
    9: Serbia
    10: Australia
    11: UK
    12: Israel
    13: Norway

    14: Austria
    15: Albania
    16: Greece
    17: Georgia
    18: Poland
    19: Latvia
    20: Russia
    21: Azerbaijan
    22: Germany
    23: Romania
    24: Italy
    25: Montenegro
    26: Hungary
    27: Spain

Ok admittedly done in 5 mins and very quickly

I remember that now. Sweden are a great country for Eurovision songs, but something doesn't sit right with me about their delegations/production teams. :(

Yup blaming everything on being drawn first saying it isn't for ballads etc. they had huge sway in the running order change.

Wonder if they'll stick Poland on at the start of the second half or last again?
