On one hand it’s good for Russia and Italy to be only real contenders in second half, but will they now just be seen as yet another ballad in a sea of them? Still think Sweden can win this from a 10-13 draw.

I really think that would be unfair. I know they don't necessarily take previous years into account but they should when it comes to positions that are either particularly advantageous or disadvantageous.

Especially after it was heavily rumoured that the Swedish delegation demanded that position before the running order was announced... then it turned out it was given to them

I remember that now. Sweden are a great country for Eurovision songs, but something doesn't sit right with me about their delegations/production teams.
