I remember well watching that ep and being excited at the prospect of one day finding out why she hated him. But when Matt Smith left I remember being kind of annoyed that it would never be resolved. How narrow minded I was! I certainly didn't expect it to be resolved in the 50th anniversary, 6 years later.


He promised her he'd be right back after the wedding scene and presumably never returned, which is why she tries to killed in series 3.
