  The number of years in which a new episode of Who has been broadcast?
  
  1963–1989 = 27 years;
  1996 = 1 year;
  2005–2013 = 9 years.
  
  Total: 37 years. +1 if you count Dimensions in Time.
  
  I expect someone else can comment on total minutes broadcast?

  1963 to 1989 then 2005 to present with the TV movie in 1996.So, 36years as a regular show plus a single TV movie in the 16 year gap.

  Had to use my fingers (rubbish at the Math....ssss - Copyright Stewart Lee) but TEDR is correct. Has been broadcast in 37 calendar years...thus far. )
  
  Don't want to go into, you know, 'Canon' but personally don't have any desire to include Dimensions in Time. Good cause, obviously, but..just no.
