  Will Young sang Ain't No Sunshine in Pop Idol. It was his Dad's favourite song and Will had a "break through" with it.
  
  It was originally sung by Bill Withers and Andy Williams did a version of it. It is one of those songs which is sung by loads of people.

  Bill Withers version is the original, and the best. It's so sparsley produced and lets the emotion of the singer shine through.
