Got it today. Lovely art on it, good story so far.
Controls are not as smooth as Killzone 3 (nearest comparison), had to tweak a lot.

Love that the single player uses health packs rather than regenerating health, it makes you much more cautious in battle. makes a huge difference to the game.
I have just got past the time sqaure battle, which was great and am now pinned down in the fuselage of a downed plane, so I think I am nearing the end. The single player has been really strong - really varied both in terms of gameplay styles and settings etc. withsome really memorable battles. I am really looking forward to playing through the campaign in co-op with a mate.
The competitive mulitplayer is great fun. It does takes a while to get used to, even though I had spent some time in the beta, and the seeming lack of any player level based match making can make some games very one-sided. If you come up against some dude with the Auguer, and he uses it right, they can really dominate a match. Get into a good, balanced game though and it is great. Some of the team based modes are brilliant fun to play - and the maps are well designed. And - a huge plus for me - the 'you are getting shot' and 'you are about to die' effects on the screen are not too intrusive, which was my main issue with Killzone 3.
Great package
Only had a quick dabble online so I'm not so clued up on the maps or anything but it seemed quite hard to get more than a couple of kills at a time. Maybe I just need a bit of practice.
One thing though - I'm at a simlar point in the single player to those of you who have posted so far, so could you mark posts for spoilers just in case.
Nedubiz - I've tried joining your MP session a few times, but always full.
Is anyone else intrigued by the strategy game trailer on the options too?
With Move but not Sharpshooter - hence my comment about Killzone 3.
Easiest way to destroy all the cooling kit on large Chimera as it is so easy to follow them
I'd love to do the co-op however out of the 30 people on my friends list none of them seem to be playing it.. I think I'll have to get some new ones.
The mulitiplayer though is a different storey; it's just one massive lag fest. Worst online experiance I've had in years, not just becuase of the lag, the games just arn't fun. The weapon upgrades a crap, the weapon damage is crap and the sheilds for 3 kill streak are way OP.
Just one big yawn for online.
Will stick with BO or KZ3.
lovin the single player
I am bit further on
You can play the campaign in local co-op. Haven't tried it myself, but a mate said it worked well.
I have finished the single player now. I really enjoyed the campaign, it was nicely varied and the pacing was great.
I loved how in the final cut scene a kid was playing with a toy tank which was one of the three headed Hydra tanks from Ratchet and Clank - great touch.
there no chance of this anytime soon sony give up on this series
The Multiplayers no longer supported but from what i hear its a permanent x2 xp going on if you want to level up.
Yeah and the third one seemed to be a sensible end to it all as well.
As far as the multiplayer goes, I really didn't enjoy 2 online so didn't even try 3 online. The single player was good enough for me!
