Intermittent Line on TV

On my 52" Sony TV I have this strange vertical line that appears on the right side.
When I touch the or swivel the TV the line disappears.
Any thoughts? I was thinking a faulty HDMI lead, but when I removed the lead the line stayed. The 'line' just isn't on one source or TV, it's the whole TV (Sky, Freeview, bluray, etc).
Hasanuone experienced anything similar? Any possible fixes?

Yea it is. Got a free 5 year warranty with it when I purchased the set at the end of 2009.
Get in touch with them then, it's a classic symptom of panel failure (LCD's get fairly thin lines, Plasma get thickish bars).
Is it a manufacturers warranty, an insurance warranty, or a dealer warranty?.
Manufacturer warranty
I'll give them a tinkle now - I just found the insurance documentation.
But if it's under warranty there's no point in faffing about -- just get it fixed
Temporary bodge (if it works at all) - under warranty it will get a new panel (or written off and a new set).
It was covered by the (local chain) vendors own extended warranty. They pronounced it uneconomic to repair.
My parents are now in possession of a current-model Samsung Smart HDTV funded from the warranty to the full price of the original TV. Excellent service from the vendor including a loan set from the time the faulty set was collected until a replacement was chosen (and even the option to trial the replacement on approval).
What I'm saying is, the appearance of a fault within the period of the extended warranty is not entirely bad!
Hence the quotation marks.
