The only fta S2 channel currently is Channel 4 HD so there's nothing else to tune to.

This may help to see if your box is one of the duff ones.

Thanks for that link, very useful! It seems that my box is fine and should be compatible with C4HD, so I guess the most likely cause of the problem is that the dish is misaligned.

If you can get the two transponders either side of CH4-HD then it's unlikely to be alignment

    808 JML DIRECT 12560 V EB1
    809 JML Choice 12560 V EB1
    204 Euronews 12560 V EB1
    143 Men & Movies 12560 V EB1
    401 Wedding TV Asia 12560 V EB1
    816 QVC Beauty 12560 V EB1
    126 CH4 HD 12606 V EB1
    650 Ocean TV 12643 V EB1
    803 Pitch TV 12643 V EB1
    804 Pitch World 12643 V EB1

I suspect from other postings that the list of affected boxes might not be complete.

Haven't any of your neighbours got Sky. If so ask if they get CH4-HD.

Thanks for the extra info. The only one of those channels that I can get is Euronews.

That would seem to confirm it! Better get onto the management company...

That's seriously wierd, If you can get Euronews you should have all the other channels on the same 12506 V transponder (all the channels are multiplexed onto the same carrier, there's no way that a dish problem could cause this). This points to a receiver problem.

Er, no, Euronews is on 11343V. And the others are on 12560V, not 12506V. So it IS probably a dish fault, not a receiver problem.

Apols 12506 V was a typo, the other error was when Euronews moved transponder Dec 2010 the old entry was left by error in the database together with it's new location. Now fixed.
