With all this glorious sunshine I have been seeing a lot of my neighbours great tits. They are always out when it is sunny. My mother in law was visiting yesterday and asked have I seen my neighbours great tits and do they ever come in my garden? I thought about it and they don't. How can I get my neighbours great tits into my garden? Do they prefer seed or fat balls? We don't have cats so that isn't what is putting them off. Any advice? I love those little birds.

Independence and freedom are their true names, so they don't belong to anyone. Not even your neighbour. Those tits don't visit your garden because they most likely don't think you're that funny.

I think the OP probably nicked this routine from Ted Bovis.

Although I have noticed quite a few in the last couple of days... Along with a significant number of Parakeets in the garden.

Although the Neighbours massive pussy does keep disturbing them.

Tell me about it, it's my pussy that gets my neighbors cock excited.....

Should I have posted this in pets? I think I've made a mistake. I shall ask for it to be moved. Thanks for your advice.

True ... and I'm slightly disappointed we didn't have the usual "tits like coconuts" line.

Imagine if the "COCK" and "PUSSY" in this thread got together, it would be like ....... something really amusing.

May I suggest a trip to the farm to get some tips on picking up chicks?

Larry Grayson's friend Mr Everhard and Mrs Slocombes' pussy approves of this thread. Does anyone notice there are more blue tits around in winter?

This reminds me of when my teacher was telling us about how to feed birds.
"Robins like bread, nightingales like seeds, and a glass of milk is very good
    for the tits".

Well, the whole class sniggered (we were only twelve). The teacher smiled, but
    didn't say anything.

Thanks for that. I shall try a little glass of milk. See if I can get those great tits over my side of the hedge.

They do look like they have had a Cockatoo though.

I suppose it depends whether your neighbours feeding statin is easier for the birds to get at than yours.

Parus major feeds on insects, such as caterpillars and spiders, seeds, like beech mast, and berries.

In the garden they will feed from hanging feeders containing nuts and seeds, such as sunflower hearts and will often follow Periparus ater to their caches of seeds in the hanging feeders.
