Anti-Sex backlash on Facebook/Twitter.

just noticed this now, about 90% of comments slamming the show for being too smutty and over the top sexual.
even on articles not relating to any of the 'sex storylines'.

i have to say, theres nothing wrong with abit of filth, but i do agree that last nights episode was too much, they dedicated the whole final segment to that little dappy scrote and lee and his bursting sausage.
5 minutes would of been more than enough.
there surely must have been more going on in the house?

i just cant imagine the majority of the audience finding this entertaining.

we know the producers pay not a blind bit of notice to what the forum-ers have to say, but will they listen to social media?

What's the alternative? "Duvet Watch" with Lee and Casey?

People need to get a life. Adults enjoy sex. Only repressed, insecure people don't

Hahaha, you have opened a new account just to write that little gem.... How adult.

Facebook is disappointed, Twitter is loving it though.

Also, highest rating since launch last night and that was after 2 episodes before which were outrageous too. So I think generally people are enjoying it. But tonight will be more of a balance with the UFO task.

They do indeed. I enjoy it very much indeed. But there is a difference between enjoying sex and watching sex or in this case watching sex not quite take place but hinted at with increasingly vulgar innuendos.

Ratings are still rather high. So I think people just want to seem prudish online.

Big Brother has always been filthy and filled with sex and nudity. Granted the Celebrity editions are never that bad, the occasional showmance, but ironically, this is the first time it's felt like proper BB since its move to C5 (and the first week of BB14, which was excellent)

Was this place up in arms over BB5? Or did it just become retrospectively THEBESTEVERRRR

I can't say any of the sex chat and smuttiness bothers me. I would, however, like some balance. A few clicks of the mouse I can have porn up in seconds, Luisa snogging Jasmine is hardly boner-inducing titillation. If producers think this is all the show needs they're wrong. Just show some conversations about something else (they must be having them, somewhere).

I'm actually hoping for some of this underlying tension in there to boil over. A few fights and bitchy sessions is the acid we need to cut through the grease.

I think people need to relax a bit, it's only been a few days. I am sure it will calm down a bit.

Completely agree. I am sure there must be other things going on in the house that could fill 40 minutes of HLs. We get the gist no need to ram it home (pardon the pun!)

What exactly were you expecting when you started watching the show? It's an entertainment show. They'll show as much entertainment as they can. They'll show sexual goings on. They'll show good debates like the one Jim and the others were talking about. They'll show anything that they think the viewers will be interested in watching.

When you've got BBOTS spending the entirety of the show concentrating on whether Dappy, Lee, Casey, Luisa and Jasmine are going to get it on, then it's fair to say that the others might as well be wallpaper.

Yes adults enjoy sex. Your point confuses me. If that's what you want to see on television, this was so far away from adult sex, it was farcical. A bunch of annoying, airtime grabbing ,overgrown kids playing with each other in the bath! Let's keep it real here:o

I think people are mainly complaining about the balance. The last part of last night's show was all smut and innuendo. No debates, conversations...nothing else but smut. Therefore it's clear to see that the producers are going for the sex and smut angle.

Exactly. It's not even amusing. It was total cringefactor

Actual, yes. There was quite a bit of sexual behaviour going on in the bathtub between Dappy and the two lasses though.

I agree. Are they all sex starved adolescents who believe this is a turn on?

As much as I don't feel the need to see Dappy's manhood every five minutes or Lee popping off to the toilet to service himself I have to say that it's refreshing to have a series of Big Brother where the housemates are actually producing material which is worthy of the television screen and actually entertaining in some form. It's got us all talking and I'd rather this than the dreary love stories and niceties of previous series. It's good to have all this going on and what people have to remember is that quite often this type of behavior normally leads to some kind of fallout with again adds to the tension and drama in the house. To say I'm enjoying this series more than any other since series six really says a lot about it. I only wish it were longer than three weeks. :(

I totally would have agreed with you until last night. I said that it would only be a matter of time before we get conflict. There's too many egomaniacs in there that want to be some kind of sex gods/goddesses. However, I felt the editing of the antics last night was overkill.

Perhaps that will be the case tonight with the alien task that took place. If BB producers have any sense, they should listen to the majority of their viewers.

    So true.
Unfortunately the housemates as well as the producers are all too aware of the tired old mantra "sex sells".
Just a lazy, unimaginative way of getting much-desired screen time.
It's a route that's as predictable as being rudely labelled a prude if you dare to post that you don't want to see wasted people indulge in lascivious activity for the sake of the cameras.

I'm glad that the majority of people on FB and Twitter are in agreement that they are showing too much smut. Less is more in this case and hopefully the producers will take note.
