Do you guys know about the Aussie indie radio station hottest 100?

Anyone, anywhere in the world can vote before Australia Day - today.

It is the world's biggest musical democracy.

And then they play it all day Aussie Day, now.

It is a very nifty cool thing, that has grown into an amazing cult and cultural thing.

    Triple J is a great station, and there's so much fab music coming out of Australia at the moment. My Top 50 from last year contained 8 Australian acts, and Brisbane had the Top 2 songs.

    Sadly, despite sending in my Top 10 a month or so back, none of my favourites made the list. I'm sure they'll dominate the After the Lord Mayor's show 101-200 list tomorrow, though (why don't they play that first?)

    Delighted Riptide is #1. Surprised Lanterns is only #22, thought it'd be top 10 at least.

    Triple J is always a great way to discover new music.

    Because it takes all day to play the top 100, and we want that first and hand in hand with Oz Day, people get kind of excited about the top 20 countdown to number 1.
    If you already know what doesn't make it, spoils the fun.

    And we get a cool mash up dance mix of 100 straight after for more partying, then Oz day fireworks, and your done.
