Leona Lewis' Happy is the one i can relate to most by a long shot. It also motivates me to do well.

Kelly Clarkson's Because Of You is also sentimental to me due to my parent's divorce and their hatred for one another.

Although i'm male, if you change girl to guy, Broken-Hearted Girl by Beyonce is another one i can relate to.

Also, There You'll Be by Faith Hill, I Will Be and I See You by Leona Lewis and Family Portrait by Pink.

    Sad:
Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
Whitney Houston - I will always love you
    Coldplay - Fix You
Leona Lewis - Run (I think her version is more emotional/from the heart).
Sugababes - Too Lost in You
    Lady GaGa - Speechless
    Rihanna - Russian Roulette

    Happy:
Most of Lady GaGa's tracks make me happy!
    Sugababes - About a girl/Wear my Kiss
Rihanna - Don't stop the music
    Ke$ha - Tik Tok
Jay Z. Feat. Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind

Loads more but these are the ones that I thought of first.

Gosh, far far far far far too many to write an entire list out - it would be longer than my arm. Many songs don't mean much until you see them in a certain scenario (real life, movie, tv show) then they always remind you of that feeling.

One song which hit me smack in the face the first time I head it was 'Bridge over troubled water' by Simon and Garfunkel. And it seems to have gotten more relevant to my life as I've grown, so that would have to be the one I mention.

    Maybe Tomorrow by Stereophonics
Hard Time for Dreamers by Reverend and the Makers
    Live Forever by Oasis
Don't Look Back In Anger by Oasis
    Perfect Symmetry by Keane

Apologies - these songs are not the most well-known I'll agree but are by far the most meaningful to me (and probably some other people too).

    Also:

7 Minutes In Heaven - Fall Out Boy
I'm not much of a FOB fan, I despise most of their stuff, primarily down to Pete Wentz, but this song, wow, it is exactly me at the moment. You know when you hear a song and you go "wow, that was made for me"? Well, that's how I feel about 7 Minutes In Heaven, and It Ends Tonight by The All-American Rejects.
