Enough hating, what about the most liked? He doesn't broadcast any more, but Mike Neville of Look North and Tyne Tees Tonight would get my vote and the votes of millions of others in the North East and Cumbria as this man is a legend. Close on his heels would be the late Richard Madeley, Eric Wallace and Tom Kilgour. Of the current ones Carole Malia is very good.

Granada, i.e. the North West.
Oh my god Richard Madeley is dead does Judy know it isnt on Sky News;)
Being from Yorkshire,I must include old twice nightly Whiteley as well.
Richard Madeley isn't dead!
Harry Gration a close second.
Same for me, it's just not Central News when he isn't presenting it.
Sorry I meant Richard Whiteley. It is easy to mix them up, as both worked for Yorkshire.
Other good regional presenters: Tony Cook on Tyne Tees, Ian Masters on BBC East and Tom Coyne on BBC Midlands.
South Today is Sally Taylor and she seems a really down to earth presenter.
My claim to fame - Harry was a teacher at the school I went to in the 70's. Always thought he'd go far. LOL.
His intros before Corrie are a hoot.:D
Better than the programme sometimes.:p
Also, Mike Neville, Tom Kilgour, George House,
& Jake Kelly, when they all worked on Look North NE&C.
Seconded, his forecasts are quite legendary.
Another vote for Gordon Burns too, a vote also goes for Lucy Meacock, she's been there for like 20 years now and seems to be very loyal to Granada considering she probably could have gone down south to present National news.
Ghastly presenter ... give me Dani Sinha or Jo Kent any time.
Agree 100%. Her battles with cancer are well known but I think she has always been great and when Sally is not there it doesn't seem right.
