Really looking forward to the new series. I do really like the current cast and love the relationship between Tom and Hal. I was never a fan of Tom when he first appeared, but in the last series, he totally won me over!!! I think they've done really well with their characters. There was always a fear it wouldn't quite work without the originals, but to me, Alex, Tom and Hal fit together just right and are interesting enough to keep it all going.

Not really my kind of show but nice one for Andrew. He was nice but underused in his Misfits episode.

I've never watched Misfits but Murdoch Mysteries is one of my favourite shows

Misfits is pretty cool. Kind of similar to Being Human in terms of who it seems to be aimed for, audience wise.

But Being Human is better of course.

I thought Misfits was more like a version of X-Men with chavs

Julian Barratt is guest starring and he's very funny. that was the only answer to the only question asked, this being T4. Oh and Michael Socha is now apparently Michael Soccer . No wonder they axed it.

    - Julian Barrett is guest starring in an episode and made cast/crew laugh off screen.
    - They played a clip of the 1st episode where Hal is tied to a chair, has a beard, getting spoonfed by Tom and asks to be blindfolded because the place is in a mess.
    - Alex muses about her door, her smelly brothers and the Welsh rugby team.
    - Presenters also asked Damien, Michael and Kate some questions as well as other supernatural types they could be. Damien and Michael got ghosts, Kate got werewolf.

    Spoilers from CultBox ...
"Hal, Tom and Alex are three housemates with some serious issues on their hands, and they’re not all about the washing up rota. Hal is a 500 year-old vampire, Tom is a hardened werewolf and Alex has recently had the misfortune of becoming a ghost.

"Strapped to a chair in the living room, Hal is finding it tough going cold-turkey – mostly because the mess Tom has made is really bothering him. But when Tom and Alex release Hal, they’re not to know it’s far too soon to be letting a blood-thirsty vampire onto the streets...

"When Hal recruits Crumb as a vampire and welcomes him to the supernatural world, the meek becomes mighty and we see what happens when a bullied man finds his bite. Meanwhile, Rook – head of a shady government department in charge of keeping the supernatural world secret – is given some devastating news."

Series 5's six new episodes are expected to begin airing on BBC Three in January.

Series 4 is being repeated in some crap timeslots on BBC3 from January 7th. I guess Series 5 will start around the 20th or 27th then.

Okay, latest issue of SFX is out and there are some spoilers for the new series ...
5x01: Tom and Hal have been sacked from their jobs, we're reintroduced to Mr Rook and have two other villains in Captain Hatch and a vampire named Crumb (Colin Hoult). Also, we're meeting the first supernatural trinity as well.

5x02: Honolulu Heights is haunted and Captain Hatch gives an impressive baddie speech.

5x03: Julia Barrett plays a deluded werewolf named Larry and Amanda Hale plays an unlikely Regency Ghost. Also a great comedy episode for Tom.

5x04: A big episode for Crumb and also another werewolf guest with Ricky Grover playing an innocent one named Bobby.

5x05: A big lead up to the climax when all the stories start crashing into each other, also has a rather exciting five minutes and features Kathryn Prescott as Natasha.

5x06: The finale with cameos from characters from last year (none of the original cast). We're also told what Captain Hatch's plan is and we get to see it played out.

Now onto the grittier stuff - Captain Hatch is actually the devil and he's able to get people to kill themselves with words.

Also, Mr Rook is an ambivalent characters. Sometimes he'll be an ally to the Honolulu Heights gang, sometimes he won't be.

We'll also be getting some more flashbacks with Hal as well as seeing him taking on a manager's position in the Barry Grand Hotel where Hatch is residing.

Hatch is also twisted by his own malevolence, hence his current physical condition as well and his arc is about his slow climb back to power.

And the show returns in February.

Just watched the fifth series opener and it's utterly brilliant, certainly up to the same standard as series 4. Hope the beeb give this show the promo it deserves, it's a crime that quality drama like this gets hidden away on BBC three whereas anodyne drivel like Merlin gets pushed so heavily on the main channel.
