What do you think of neighbours who leave their pegs on the line?

I must admit I think lazy.

Plus it's a bit of an eye sore so why not just bring them in with your washing instead of leaving them out for all and sundry to see.

My OH does the washing and hanging but we hang it in the utility/laundry room. He leaves the washing hanging there all week, even when its already dry and only takes it down when he puts the next lot up, what do you think of that?

You really think this mini rant over nothing, deserves its own thread?

We cannot see into our neighbours' gardens, unless we feel like a mile-long walk. So they can leave their pegs out whenever they like. x

Do you think there's a forum out there where a member started a thread asking "does anybody else's son not have a life?"

I think that they probably have more exciting things in their life to do than bother with their pegs.

It can be the small details in life that matter most.

I leave my pegs on the whirly gig  God I don't know how you would cope if you lived next to my neighbours who leave there washing on the line for days.

Pegs should be removed and rotary clothes lines closed and covered when not in use.

Your local Council Officer can tell you the relevant by-law.

My pegs are gloriously multicoloured...bright fucschia, cobalt blue, sea green, sunny yellow and magenta/purple and also a cute design, they add some fun and brightness in the garden....for most people that is, wishing to peek over to see what they can see, in fact I probably do a service for the neighbours

    :)

    Sheesh

Would your neighbour's washing line otherwise be something to be gazed upon in reverential awe ?

Yes but they can get dirty when kept out all week with rain and bird poo.

I have a retractable washing line that is put away after use and the pegs are stored in the peg bag which is kept in a cupboard in the kitchen. I even put the prop away in the garage when I bring the washing in. Washing is never left out all night and is brought in at the first sign of rain.

NO ONE could accuse me of being a washing line slattern!!!
