I'll comment on the pitches later but I'm glad to see they've got rid of that "WOOOOSH" effect prior to the interviews. Maybe it will return later but it looks like they've cut it out since the last episode. The show feels more like previous series now, which is good.

Yeah, nice going. Turn up with no business plan & insult potential investors!

Yes, Theo P said he had twins, and it would be expensive, and that was her response *ouch*

It's the best idea of the night, so far, and he's presented it well. My concern would be that the sonar would mess with other sonar messages and send dolphins/whales/submarines in circles round the boat. (Not that I know anything about these things :D)

Great pitch at the best, best of the series so far.. one of the best of the show.

Shame Doug Richard wasn't around, that would have been right up his street.

What I don't understand is why no one ever turns up on this show with a business plan that they HAND OUT to people, or at the very least, have on hand to give out the figures. Maybe people think "Oh, if I have to refer to figures, I'll look stupid" but look at the dragons, every single pitch they are making notes. They clearly don't find written down figures to be an embarassment, so why do the pitchers?!

I've seen so many people turn up on this show and forget their figures. It's not a smart move.

Anyway... I found myself realising this episode how "bang bang bang" this setup is.. I mean, they must see so many people, and from the looks of things, the dragons are either in or out very early. They either like it, or they don't, and it's clear that each person has their own sector and if the product is outside their sector, they ain't interested.

I'm surprised that the cat claw covers guy didn't get a 'full' appearance. He was in the papers and on the news with that idea a few weeks ago.

I think it's repeated on BBC3 at 11pm on Tuesdays, other than that, you can watch it online.

I thought the sonar thing was a flawed product! Why use sonar? What advantage does it have over a waterproof GPS that would give a real-time update of your current position in the water?

How would it transmit that GPS signal to anything useful? No mobile phone towers out at sea and no way to communicate with a satellite...

Can someone tell me if Duncan Banana-tyne has EVER invested in anything or is he simply there to belittle and at times insult the pitchers?

The new guy, Richard Farleigh seems like a nice guy. He's always respectful of the pitchers, regardless of whether they have a good idea or not and, as Evan said, he's already invested twice this series.

Watching the first bit back as I missed it before and omg what a total tool this beach towel guy is!

Standing there like he's Richard f*****g Branson giving out business lectures to people with more money than he'll ever have whilst trying to get £250,000 just for stock to fulfil orders he doesnt have!!

The Cabbie call centre is as Debbie said years outta date. There are already companies doing that on nationwide scale in a call center with a screen in front of them and they answer the phone because that's what they are paid to do.

The sun-lounger bloke should've secured some orders and also got some 'domestic' sales to prove that it's a worthwhile product...oh and quit with the business lectures

The wellie woman should get a patent [if she can] go back to M&S Millets and the other retailers that were beating down her door get some small orders that she can handle, then pitch it to other retailers then go to a different bank and show them how well she's doing. I'm sure they'd give her some money then

No one actually asked the sonar man how many people actually fall over board?   and need to be rescued. His dragon deal on the update mark my word will come to light that the deal falls through.

On many of the updates the stuff the dragons dont back seems to be theones that turn out to be a sucess.

How many people actually have their houses or cars broken into? Or how many smoke alarms actually go off in a year?

The point is, it's there for if it's needed.

Exactly. I had a tracker fitted to my Escort Cosworth Lux, I couldn't get it insured without one. Fortunately I never had to find out how well it would've worked

After watching trawlerman last week on bbc1. I instantly thought that it would be a good idea for the fishermen to have one on them. The amount of fishermen that fall overboard and never to be seen again is to high.
