It was £17 for Series 1 of Gary The Tank Commander.

Plus they're still charging £8.99 for most albums when they're easily £6 on the likes of Amazon and Play.

Just had a look at the HMV website advertising their big sale. Only to find they're still doing the 5 blu rays for £30 deal which has already been running for the past couple of months.

Give it 6-12 months and there’ll be a HUGE sale at HMV, fixtures and fittings included!

I also noticed the offer on the box sets when i was in HMV a few days ago.I wonder if it's just an instore promotion as there is no mention of the offer on the website?.

This'll just be for Christmas though. They'll likely go back to charging full whack for them once Christmas is over.

It might be a sign that HMV are on their way out.

My local HMV has plenty of sales, only problem is the sale price is a lot more than most online retailers.

Bought the Oceans Trilogy on Blu-ray for a tenner the other day in the Piccadilly Circus branch. Was in again the next day and saw it back at £20!! It was selling for £10 in the Oxford Street branch as well so it seems to be pot luck sometimes.

They do seem to have a few good deals at the mo though. The big Alien~Prometheus blu-ray set was going for £25 though as has been said lets see what the prices are now Xmas is over.

I went in to a store today just to look around and ended up buying 5 DVDs as they were reduced so much - new films and world cinema from £3, lots of deals and box sets slashed in price too.

Maybe this is what they should've been doing all along?! It was packed in there, hardly room to move plus you got a £5 voucher at the till for next time (when spending over £35).

    £59?!

You can easily find the Alien "Quadrilogy" box for ~£15, plus Prometheus for ~£10-15. WTF would anyone pay £59 for a box containing the same.
