For me it's Julia Roberts is my all time favorite and Meryl Streep. I don't think we will never see another of them. They're one of the best ever.

Well, nobody can touch Meryl can they. I love her. There's even a joke about her in First Wives Club where Bette picks up the Oscar won by Elise "Oh look.... it says "I beat Meryl!" ".

As for Julia Roberts (and I'm not getting into she's great/no she's not thing here) I thought she was great in Sleeping With The Enemy but I've not loved her in much else.

I'm going to go with Meryl Street as well. She's one of those chameleons that you only seem to find rarely. It's not just the accents and the makeup - she really seems to "become" the characters she plays. She can also effortlessly flit between drama and comedy. Her performance in 'Death Becomes Her' is hilarious. You wouldn't believe it was the same woman who played the horrifically tragic part of Sophie in 'Sophie's Choice'.

For today's Hollywood: I have to say Milla Jovovich. Only because I 'grew up' with her, from Kuffs to now.

Otherwise, Jurnee Smollett, Catherine Keener, Angela Bassett, Catherine O'Hara and - in romantic comedy films only - Sandra Bullock (I can't stand her in serious films).

Elizabeth Banks is growing on me, even though I keep confusing her with Parker Posey and vice versa.

Absolutely, she is the best no doubt in my mind. Just truly gifted. And even after all these years acting you can tell she still cares about her work and still puts all the effort in.
