I suppose you could argue that. Anybody else progressing that hard in a couple of years might raise eyebrows.
I choose to stay naive and believe Big Daf is legit.
To be fair you would expect some big improvements given she had given up heptathlon training and focussed everything on being in the right shape and with the right technique for sprinting.
I'm glad he won.......all the others seem to be doing the 'I might be an athlete today but in real life I'm a gangster. Yo'....... act at the start.......:o:p
so many PB/SB/NRs at these championships. great to see so many bringing their A-games.
unfortunately for some brits, they came at the WRONG time!
awesome last two hours or so .....
schippers blasting the rest with a superb 4th-fastest ever run
proctor so unlucky but what a second place, doing the PB's the RIGHT way round ;-)
shubenkov being the only russian in the village ..... and winning
and the decathlon getting exciting ..... oh is the first day over
Didn't see the race but kudos to Denise who said yesterday that despite Dafne's quick times that she hadn't really put her foot down. 21.63 is ridiculous!!
I had the radio on with the TV sound down and somebody on the radio was speaking about 30 minutes before Dina's race and saying that Dina had woken up this morning a bit sore...........I think I knew at that point that she wasn't going to get a medal even tho' the radio boys reckoned she might get gold.......
Thanks. It confused me because the commentators were British. Kind of funny that the BBC just drew the line at commenting on the walk. I can see it now, right's who's doing this one... er ... yeah ... I've gotta wash my hair that morning. Or maybe they figured they couldn't justify licence money paying for Crammy et al to talk about people walking funny for a few hours.
It allowed them to give Cram, Cotter and the rest the whole morning off. They used the World Feed for the walk and the Decathlon 100m and then they could have Backley on his own for the field events of the Decathlon.

Especially Darien of France. I mean he always does that but it's so awkward.
I said a few months back that I wouldn't be surprised to see Shubenkov win here. I'm glad he did.

The 110mH winner is - Shubenkov in 12.98 NR (+0.1m/s)!
Its a superfast track and humid conditions which help
