My school didn't do GCSEs so I had to go to college and do them at 17. A bloody year late!

    1 A
    2 B
    2 C

This was 19 years ago and you could only do 5.

The spelling of your name has been utterly inconsequential to your grade for decades. ;)

I don't know why I didn't get an A in IT, I was so disappointed, because I worked hardest in that. I got a B in German because it was the foundation paper and you were supposed to only get a maximum of a C, but I requested to be put in for the higher level exams.

    *Shakes paper furiously*

    English Literature A*,
    History A*,
    English A,
    German A,
    Maths B,
    RE B,
    Chemistry B,
    Physics B,
    Biology C,
    IT C,
    Technology D

Quite pleased really. :) Could have done a bit better, but I'm still exceptionally pleased about the top 4 grades. They're my speciality sort of subjects.

Niece got mostly C's and a couple of A and B.

She was really shocked to get an AB in science, as she was predicted a CB. Her teacher had the broadsheet at school with the grade boundaries on, and an A this year has been put at 62%, so while she is chuffed with the grade, she feels a bit hollow as we all do about what it actually stands for

Unfortunately mine aren't as good as Teh User, but they're still passes at least.

    Drama C
    Media B
    English Language C
    French B
English Literature D (Language is most important)
    Additional Science D
Maths D (I will retake this at Sixth Form)
Resistant Materials D (was expecting to fail this completely)
    ICT - B & C (two GCSE's)

So, alas, my five years of secondary school end not with a bang, but with a whimper.

I did my GCSEs in 2005 and got B grades in English & English Literature, History, Geography, Double Science, R.E. and Business Studies. I got C grades in ICT, French and Maths. I was close (few marks) off a double AA in double science though, doesn't bother me as I wasn't going to do any sciences at A Level anyway :D

I got my results this time last year and although I did well, I was still unhappy with my grades because I know for a fact that they should have been better.

    8 A's, 4 B's and 1 C :)
