Negative pregnancy tests

lat month when I came on my period i spotted for about 3 days, it was rather discoloured for the 3 days & then I came on normally but very heavy. On the run up to my period my breasts were so sore, almost untouchable.
Everything carried on as normal, the breast tenderness went away & I was fine.
This month I am now a week late for m period & I am NEVER late, but often early.I have the symptoms of m period, grumbling tummy etc but no blood
I have done 3 home pregnancy tests & they have all come up negative, so I'm not sure why. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If the blood test comes back negative you'll definitely not be pregnant, but home pregnancy tests can produce a false negative.
