I might be wrong but I thought I heard Kate call the science girl Oswin...who mentioned her sister, I thought it might be a connection to Clara, did anyone else hear this?

I believe there was an Osgood who worked for UNIT in a Pertwee story so was a nod to that.

thanks for that, I wouldn't have remembered about Tom Osgood, maybe we should have a thread about the "nods" as I'm sure some people will have missed a few.

I've actually seen a few people say that Osgood was Kate Stewarts daughter.

This includes whoever edits the TARDIS Wiki

The evidence is that she supposedly called Kate Stewart "Mum" and the fact that Kate kept reminding her about her Inhaler.

Now I'd have to watch that scene again to make sure but I'd have thought it more likely it was "Ma'am" though apparently the subtitles (not sure if this was BBC or BBCA) did say "Mum".

So what do people think, Daughter or not Daughter?

I thought she was her daughter, right from that first scene with the phone.

Must have been on BBC America where they said Mum (or maybe Mam) then.
