The story so far:

-It's the end for Greenlight in favour of a more open, user generated store.
Our goal is to make Greenlight go away. Not because it's not useful, but because we're evolving.

- SteamOS will also have a focus on other media like movies, TV and music as well as games.

- Alienware: "there will certainly be experiences on Steam Machines that won't be available anywhere else".

- Steam has increased in active users by 10 million in 2 months, taking it to 75 million. How kosha the stat is remains to be seen though. If it is legit, it's hilarious considering that 2 month is during a new NG launch window.

- Steam controllers will be sold through Steam and retail (best to go retail with Valve's hilarious shipping costs).

- Steam controller API supports upto 16 (sixteen) controllers at once

-The prototype now has a new design. The touchscreen has been done away with, and the controller now includes a DPAD and 'traditional' ABXY buttons. I can't see that new design lasting very long.
