To be fair it does look like he was aiming for the PM in the footage.

A few years ago I was walking at the other side of the road to where this happened. I was 9 month pregnant just been to LGI.
A homeless man was walking up towards me weeing as he walked. Over the top of his trousers.
I saw what was happening and swayed to the side (I couldnt move quickly 9mth pregnant )but he ran just like the hippy in this vid into me.
Peed on my arm. I threw up instantly all over him!!

David could have had a worse walk down that street in Leeds.
    That was nowt.

Jack Bauer has this to say:

'Uk, you had better work on your PM's bodyguards'

If a jogger can stumble his way through them and get close to the PM.

It just isn't good enough, since we are on high terror alert

Could you see something like happen in the US, with Obama

The jogger innocent or not, would probably be shot dead, on the spot

He should get some compo from the over-reacting feds.

When Don Vito corleone came on to the street, he had a guy check it was safe. Mind you he still got tagged.

He said that when the situation was still ongoing and confused.

What if DC had just been knifed?

I'm more inclined to believe he wasn't up to anything, based on the fact that the police - you know, the people who have actually interviewed him and have released him without any sort of charge - than a bunch of people on the internet judging the guy on the basis of a very blurry video and the fact that he looks a bit like a hippy.

I guess I'm not cynical enough for the internet.
    No you're not!! :D

May be the tabloids will look more into this guy's background and check if he's a known troublemaker. But I think he knew exactly what he was doing. Attention seeker!!

Adding my voice to the "looks deliberate" chorus:

The guy does hurl himself from nowhere and, at best, I'd say he was acting recklessly and was bound to barge into another pedestrian. If it had been some hapless shopper, no doubt he'd have just shrugged it off and carried on. Unfortunately for him, he just happened to barge into the prime minister.

Yes, this is a shocking lapse of security - but I'd say that the incident was caused by the joggers boorish/inconsiderate behaviour.

"Compo" and "feds"? Have you been watching too much TV?

I don't see how the police over-reacted. If anything they under-reacted.

He wasn't a jogger, and didn't bump into Cameron

He clearly verges towards him intentionally.

Looking at the video on TV that is exactly how it appeared to me. It looked very deliberate. If this situation had happened in America to Obama instead of Cameron, this "jogger" would have been riddled with bullets.
Yes, it definitely looked deliberate to me.

The 'jogger' seemed to miss everyone else and made contact with the PM. That was no accident.
Yep, agree with you all, it definitely looks deliberate.

Joggers who don't look where they're going are a menace.

So is Cameron, though, to be fair.

This is one of those "Alien v Predator" situations, isn't it?
    Hahaha :D

If it were me, I'd be doing my utmost to veer as far away from David Cameron as I possibly could, like - for example - Australia :D

looked deliberate to me, "jogger" looks like one of those "activists" that pop up whenever theres a chance to get their face on TV.

Even though there are plenty of similar-looking people who aren't "activists"?

On consideration, I guess the fact that he was wearing headphones would indicate that he was just a fool who didn't look where he was going.

Oooh - just found out that one of our employees knows the jogger. He trains with her at her gym. She says he always has his headphone on and is always totally 'In the zone' when he is training. She says she could imagine it happening and he isn't the type to do it deliberately.

Or the police might not be able to charge him for simply crashing into him, even if it was purposely done. The jogger can clearly be seen turning towards Cameron's direction and then making straight for him.

Yeah - definitely suspect how calm he was. He must have been part of it! Arrest him too. :p

Ask her why the bumbling jogger was wearing jeans to his session with his PT. Or was he so much 'in the zone' that he forgot to get changed?
