You don't know where I work, what I do or work as.

Ask HR for an advance on your pay. It doesn't matter that you've only been there a short time

Well in case you haven't seen it ..
Take your computer to cash converters and ask them specifically for £10. You'll likely have to pay back an absolute maximum of £14 when you get it back.

I wasn't commenting on your work scenario. I was laughing at the fact a 27 year old male felt they had to take a day off work because of what happened in a soap opera.

You're gonna get people like this, especially on DS but I see what you're coming from :)

We've all been a bit hard up once in our lives (or if you're me, more than once haha)

Theres a beggar who stands outside my flat, he puts his hands together and asks everybody who walks past for money - I hate him.

Watched him from my window and quite a few people were giving him money - no wonder he does it.

I couldnt get one from wonga or Quickquid, if you read all the comments I then went and asked if there is any that accept people with No credit rating, as i havent done anything to get one either good or bad, im never out of pocket but moving to my new flat, and attempting to furnish, while getting a new job is taxing on the bankbalance

I've seen people asking for money on forums before. On mumsnet, someone claimed to be unable to buy nappies or baby food. Several posters offered to call round with nappies and food, but she declined, she had to have money. I don't know if anyone gave her any.

I've given you a solution that will get you the tenner you want with minimal interest when it's repaid, but by all means keep ignoring that in favour of fishing for someone on DS to offer to paypal you the money.

Why would someone do this for £10, ramp it up to at least £40 at I might believe the OP was telling porkies.

I was flagged down at the traffic lights recently by a crazy looking woman who "needed money to get the train to London because her little boy was in hospital". Her lips were quivering as she spoke but her eyes said 'crazy'. I said no, closed the window, and watched as she set off in the OPPOSITE direction for the station.

Maybe you should ask your family. I don't get along with mine but I wouldn't see them go without. If that's not a possibility I'm at a loss as to what you can do. Have you tried CAB?

Because they're hoping someone will say "oh it's only a tenner".

Go to Cash Converters and wait precisely 5 minutes for a decision. And then take the money.

Whoops, i forgot you've got your fingers in your ears, eyes closed and are currently shouting "Lalalalalala!" :D
