I have been trying different home delivery products from other stores (normally shop at Sainsburies)
I thought that another shops crumpets would taste the same so I purchased a couple of crumpets from tesco.
Urgh they tasted yeasty and quite gross. I like my crumpets singed slightly and its the only time I smother alot of margarine on toasted products.

This product has gone straight into the bin and I know the rest of my family will complain also.
Waste of money. I will not buy crumpets from there again.

I just did a Google image search and can see that crumpets are what we always referred to as pikelets. I've never seen a pikelet as illustrated.

Warburtons are the best, I love crumpets. Coat them in butter so it actually oozes through onto the plate, cover with cheese and then save a bit of the final one to mop up all the melted butter/cheese combination :)

Also what on earth are people doing putting margarine on crumpets? Ugh.
