He has the funniest mannerisms and facial expressions ever!
I agree, a real virtuoso actor, not unlike Jim Parsons (Sheldon TBBT). Very similar in many ways. Highly educated with stellar acting backgrounds in both theory and practice, and of course both gay.
Couldn't stand Marty or, more specifically, the second rate actor who played him.
Niles, so really funny even when saying nothing! Loved the 'silent' scene where he was ironing his trousers. Followed by him looking for the Thanksgiving turkey when it apparently 'vanished' from the oven. :D:D
The cast were all excellent, but the never seen or heard Maris is comes second for me.
So much agreement. Marius was a creation of pure genius. The fact we never saw or heard her (apart from her shadow in one episode) made the character all the more wonderful.
By far the best non regular for me. As for the regulars, its difficult for me to choose between Niles and Ros.
Bebe and Lilith are tied for my favourite non-regular character.
My favourite full time character aside from Maris is Niles without a doubt. Even when overly Snotty, David Hyde Pierce was still able to keep Niles a sympathetic and loveable character. I wish he did more TV work (not just voice overs) but I fear he could be typecast after eleven years as Niles Crane.

Daphne was / is gorgeous. She was stunning in the episode 'Moondance' where she wore that red dress.
I absolutely hated Daphnes' family. The worst actors in the world...EVER !
Of the main characters, Niles. Of the non-regulars, I think Bebe.
OT slightly, but does anyone know what DHP did after Frasier? I can't recall seeing him in anything else, but I can't believe he's ever struggled for work.
I don't know much he has done, but I love the fact he voiced Cecil on The Simpsons, which is Sideshow Bobs brother, who is voiced by Kelsey Grammer.
I think my favorite character would be Fraiser himself, Eddie or Niles.
Gil was hilarious. From the KACL team I liked Father Mike too and was sorry he was let go early on in the series. I also liked Kate Costas from season three and wish she'd stuck around longer as she was a perfect foil for Frasier.
The only characters I'm not keen on are Daphne's family (though I actually don't mind Simon as he was not overused), Bulldog (he's not bad in small doses, but otherwise...), Chopper Dave, and that awful Julia. I'm really glad the writers were able to admit that Julia, and Gertrude Moon just didn't work and eventually axed them. They really were dire beyond belief.
