Many people even watch anamorphic pictures on their TV sets too oblivious that they are set up wrong and perfectly happy watching them like that.

I'm trying to get my local gym to get a clue about this. I've emailed them twice and out of the TVs in there, the majority STILL are set, for example, with the Freeview box showing a letterbox 16:9 image stretched across the screen. Before I said anything, most of them were a 4:3 image stretched across them.

Two of them have been corrected, but WTF didn't they do the rest?! (despite saying they would) And one of the TVs has the 'super zoom' setting applied instead of '16:9' so it looks even more stupid. Time to email them again...
